This intriguing question was posed by David Sandalow, Inaugural Fellow, Center on Global Energy Policy, in his opening remarks as the keynote speaker at the University of Michigan Energy Institute’s Fall Symposium. Sandalow used fractals as a theme throughout his discussion on the role energy innovation and research and development can play in energy systems transformations.
