Ira B. Joseph is a Adjunct Senior Research Scholar at the Center on Global Energy Policy. In his full-time capacity he oversees Platts Analytics global gas and power research, bringing 30 years of experience to the coordination of its global content, modeling and data analytics team. Ira joined Platts Analytics two years ago as part of S&P Global acquisition of PIRA Energy Group, where he created several of the core global business segments including European Gas, European Electricity, and Global LNG. Ira also contributes to Platts’ long-term Scenario Planning Service. He joined PIRA in 1999 after working at Energy Intelligence Group for over a decade as Editor-in-Chief of World Gas Intelligence and Senior Editor of Petroleum Intelligence Weekly. Ira is also a Fellow at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University and has authored multiple books and articles on global gas issues. He will be a featured speaker on global gas pricing at LNG 2019 in Shanghai next April.
