Ziwei Zhang is a Research Associate at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy. At Columbia University, Ziwei completed a masters degree in International Affairs, with a concentration in Energy & Environment and a specialization in Data Analytics & Quantitative Analysis. She was a research assistant at the Center of Global Energy Policy, focusing on the climate policy and energy issues in China. Prior to graduate school, Ziwei was an environmental economic intern at National Association of Conservation Districts, an environmental NGO, where she worked on economic data and policy reports.
Ziwei is interested in political affairs and environmental issues. During graduate school, Ziwei led projects in China’s green transitions to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the transparency and accessibility of the current energy standard. Her team designed and administered surveys to local residents to quantify awareness and perception of key environmental issues.
