Managing Director, Research Affairs
Amy Baker is Managing Director, Research Affairs at the Center on Global Energy Policy, Columbia University SIPA. Prior to joining the Center, she spent over two decades at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the world’s leading foreign policy think tank and research organization, in various positions providing expertise in administration, operations, and project management.
Amy served in senior positions in the David Rockefeller Studies Program-CFR’s think tank. As Managing Director for Fellowship Affairs, she directed the general administration of the Fellowship Affairs program and its fourteen distinct fellowship programs leading marketing, the application and selection processes, and the placement of selected fellows at host organizations. As Managing Director for Studies Administration, she coordinated the activities of the Studies office staff; oversaw the day-to-day operations of the 130-person program, including staffing, budgeting, employee relations, and policies and procedures. She previously co-directed the professional development program for CFR’s more than 100 junior staff.
Amy received an MA in politics with a concentration in international relations from New York University and a BA in political science and history from Syracuse University.
