Our Team
Meet our staff and senior energy experts from government, academia, industry, and nongovernmental organizations.
Samer Mosis leads the Global LNG Analytics team at S&P Global Platts, where he leverages his knowledge of generating fuels to deliver insights into global energy systems and policy.
He holds a special expertise in Middle Eastern financial and energy markets, is fluent in Arabic, and published his first book, The Financial Markets of the Arab Gulf: Power, Politics and Money with Routledge in 2018. Before joining Platts in 2016, Mosis was a consultant for The Lafayette Group and a fellow with the US Department of the Treasury. He holds a master’s degree in international economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, from which he graduated summa cum laude.
As governments and companies consider options to decarbonize their energy systems, addressing greenhouse gas emissions from natural gas and liquified natural gas (LNG) will inevitably become a greater concern.

To meet this goal, we produce cutting-edge analysis; convene leaders from finance, industry, government, research firms, think tanks, NGOs and academia; and inform these communities and the public about the events, trends, and policy options facing the global community.
