The Center on Global Energy Policy hosted a presentation by Sun Xiansheng, President of China National Petroleum Corporation’s (CNPC) Economic and Technology Research Institute, on “China’s New ‘Third Plenum’ Reforms: What it Means for Chinese and Global Energy.” At the Third Plenum meeting in November 2014, China’s governing body, the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, announced a series of key structural and economic reforms that will have implications for energy and environmental policies at home and abroad.
