The Center on Global Energy Policy hosted a lecture and discussion with Distinguished Fellow Nobuo Tanaka, the former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Tanaka discussed the global shale revolution and energy security in the context of the 40th anniversary of the Arab oil embargo, specifically focusing on global oil and gas trade, the impact of growing renewable energy penetration, connectivity of the electric grid in various regions of the world, and the future of nuclear power.
