Sam Walsh is a partner at Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis LLP in Washington, D.C., where he represents energy companies before federal and state agencies. Previously, Mr. Walsh served as Deputy General Counsel for Energy Policy at the Department of Energy (DOE). At DOE, he was responsible for legal matters relating to DOE’s electric, fossil energy, and civilian nuclear programs. In that role, Mr. Walsh oversaw the legal aspects of the Department’s authority over exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG), electric transmission development, carbon capture and sequestration, spent nuclear fuel, and climate programs.
