Please join the Center on Global Energy Policy for a student-only lunch and roundtable discussion with Leonardo Beltrán, CGEP Distinguished Visiting Fellow and former Deputy Secretary of Energy, Mexico.
Leonardo Beltrán will discuss his academic and career histories and current work. Following introductions, we will move into an open conversation. Lunch will be provided.
Biography
Leonardo Beltrán is a member of the Board of SEforALL, a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Columbia University’s Center for Global Energy Policy, and holds fellowships at the Institute of the Americas, and at the University of Calgary. He had a distinguished 13-year career in the government of Mexico, including as the longest serving Deputy Secretary of Energy (2012-2018), member of the board of Pemex, and chairman of the boards of Mexico ́s national energy labs.
Mr. Beltrán is a leading expert in the energy transition. He holds an MPA/ID from Harvard University and a BS in Economics from ITAM.
