Senior Director of Development
Kevin Robbins is the Senior Director of Development with Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP).
Kevin has more than 15 years of experience in fundraising and advancement strategic planning with leading public and private universities. Prior to his current role with CGEP, Kevin was director of development for the University of Chicago’s Humanities Division, where he led the Humanities to the successful completion of its part of the university’s comprehensive Inquiry and Impact campaign, raising $148.6 million toward the division’s $140 million revised and expanded campaign goal. Kevin previously served as associate director of development with Stanford’s School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences, where he secured major gifts in support of climate, energy, and sustainability education and research.. Before joining Stanford, Kevin served as a consulting associate with philanthropic management consulting firm Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A), where he assisted clients across the nonprofit sector plan and execute ambitious fundraising initiatives with goals ranging from $25 million to more than $2 billion. He began his career as a development research analyst with the University of Chicago.
Kevin received his A.B. from the University of Chicago and his M.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington. He also undertook doctoral studies–completing all requirements except for the dissertation–at the University of Notre Dame. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
