The transition away from a fossil fuel-based energy system to one based on cleaner energy technologies raises profound questions for traditional oil and gas companies. They will require new capabilities, leadership, and cultures as they shift their business models, capital allocation, and organizational capabilities.

To better understand the opportunities, experiences, and challenges facing oil and gas companies in adapting to the energy transition, the Center on Global Energy Policy hosted a panel of experts with experience in the sector.
