Graduate Student
Rawan Alfehaid is a graduate student researcher at the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where she focuses on the nexus of renewable energy, geopolitics, and sustainable economic growth in the MENA region. Rawan brings a wealth of experience in climate policy and energy transition, having led decarbonization initiatives and advised on Saudi Arabia’s national strategies to diversify away from oil dependence. Her work spans carbon markets, sustainable finance, and investment frameworks aimed at fostering clean energy growth. She holds an MBA and is currently completing an MPA with a specialization in energy and environmental policy.
