The Center on Global Energy Policy hosted a presentation and discussion with Antoine Halff, Head of the Oil Industry & Markets Division at the International Energy Agency (IEA) and editor of the IEAs monthly Oil Market Report and Medium-Term Oil Market Report. Based on the findings of both publications, including the recently released 2014 Medium-Term Oil Market Report, Mr. Halff will provide an update on the global oil market and discuss how events in Iraq and the Middle East are impacting short and longer-term market indicators. He will also review the overall oil market outlook, focusing on the interplay of geopolitics and supply, changes in demand, and emerging trends in the midstream and downstream industries (refining, transportation, and storage). Center Director Jason Bordoff moderated the discussion following the presentation.
