The Women in Energy program and CGEP Visiting Scholar Rim Baltaduonis hosted a hands-on demonstration of how laboratory economics experiments can be used to study electricity markets and inform decision makers about energy policy alternatives.

This Women in Energy-only workshop included an hour-long computerized simulation of day-ahead wholesale power markets that will be followed by a short presentation and an interactive Q&A session. No prior knowledge about energy markets or economics/finance was necessary to participate. This was a great, interactive way to start learning about electric power markets and deepen your understanding about them using a unique learning tool.
