Biography

Dr. Chris Bataille is a Global Fellow at the Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP), an Associate Researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), and an Adjunct Professor at Simon Fraser University. Chris was a Lead Author of the Industry Chapter of the 6th cycle of the IPCC Working Group III Assessment Report, as well as the Summary for Policy Makers and Technical Summary, and is a Coordinating Lead Author for the same chapter for the Seventh Assessment. Dr. Bataille is a founding principal of NetZeroIndustry.org, an industrial decarbonization research consultancy, and has provided direct policy advice for the governments of Canada, France, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as the European Commission and the OECD.
