New York, NY – David Sandalow, Inaugural Fellow at the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) at Columbia University´s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), was named to the Electric Drive Transport Association’s “Hall of Fame” today in recognition of his work to advance and support electric drive.
David Sandalow is a former Acting Under Secretary of Energy and Assistant Secretary for Policy & International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy. He joined the Center on Global Energy Policy earlier this month as the Center´s first Fellow.
“It is my honor today to help induct David Sandalow into the Electric Drive Transportation Association Hall of Fame,” said EDTA President Brian Wynne. “He worked tirelessly to establish the building blocks of electric drive success during his tenure at the Department of Energy and previous work at esteemed institutions like Brookings. The EDTA inductees are chosen by the EDTA Board of Directors, who are all industry leaders themselves and many are also previous winners. Founded in 2003, the EDTA seeks to honor leaders for their vision for electric drive, their contributions to its advancement and their lasting impact across the industry.Previous winnersinclude: Senator Orrin Hatch, Edward Kjaer, and Robert C. Stempel.
Jason Bordoff, director of the Center on Global Energy Policy, said, “We´re thrilled that David has been recognized for his important contributions and we look forward to his continued commitment to this work during his time at the Center.”
David Sandalow joined the Center on Global Energy Policy on June 1 and will be a fellow until May 31, 2014.
