Torre Lavelle is Special Assistant to the Founding Director at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University SIPA. She joined CGEP after graduating with an MSc from Oxford University and Masters in Public Policy from Tsinghua University, where she was a member of the first class of Schwarzman Scholars. While in Beijing, she worked with The Nature Conservancy in designing watershed valuation analyses and rolling out pilot environmental education curricula for the regional school system. Previously as an undergraduate student at the University of Georgia, she served as Senior Fellow for Energy and Environment with the Roosevelt Institute, through which she presented her white paper on state-level energy efficiency implementation to White House officials.
