The Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) Communications and Digital Media Student Assistants will help generate visibility and heighten awareness of the Center through strategic communication and digital media platforms. Reporting to the Communication Manager, the Student Assistants for communications and digital media will support:
Professional journalism, communications, or PR experience is not required, but the ideal candidates will have demonstrated excellent writing and proofreading skills, familiarity and interest in social and digital media platforms. There are no course, grade, or concentration requirements, but candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks and assignments. A typical week will include 10-15 hours of remote work for Spring 2021; the remote system will include virtual event coverage, live tweeting, phone and zoom interviews, and writing. There is scheduling flexibility depending on student availability and departmental needs, and the applicant should be willing to attend virtual events in the evenings and occasionally on weekends.
