Peter Nguyen

Development Officer

Biography

Peter Nguyen joins the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia SIPA as a Development Officer. Peter’s background lies in education and non-profit work. Most recently, Peter worked as an English teacher for Taiwan’s Ministry of Education. Prior, he helped build an annual report for the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, the largest of its kind in New England. Peter has also worked for the Environment Massachusetts Research and Policy Center where he co-authored the 2020 Renewable Communities Report, detailing municipal efforts towards net-zero carbon emissions. Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Boston College, which was supplemented with a semester studying at Seoul National University.
