Speakers at London Event to Include Rt Hon Michael Fallon MP, Minister of State for Energy at the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change, and Christof R�hl, Group Chief Economist and VP of BP
Rt Hon Michael Fallon MP, Minister of State for Energy at the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change will deliver a keynote speech at the international launch of the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) on Thursday, June 6th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Simpsons-in-the-Strand, 100 Strand, London WC2R 0EW. Christof Ruhl, Group Chief Economist and Vice President of BP, Nobuo Tanaka, former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, and Michael Liebreich, Chief Executive of Bloomberg New Energy Finance are among the other speakers.
TheCenter, led by Jason Bordoff, a former Special Assistant to President Obama and Senior Director for Energy and Climate Change at the National Security Council, will address the need for policy-oriented solutions to the world’s most pressing energy challenges and opportunities. The international launch comes on the heels of the Center’s successful New York City launch, and the recent announcements of David Sandalow as the Center’s first fellow and Nobuo Tanaka and Jose Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo, former President of Petrobras, as non-resident fellows.
